The webinar on the topic “Getting the job in IT” for students of KNURE!

On the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and English teachers from well-known IT companies, on October 26, a webinar on the topic “Getting the job in IT” will take place for students of KNURE! Students of 2-4 courses are invited to the webinar on the Zoom meeting platform.

The webinar provides the presentation of 3 speakers (English language teachers from IT companies), which consist of 3 blocks, where the means and techniques for a successful job interview will be revealed. Block 4 will be conducted by a native speaker, where the vocabulary necessary for communication with partners will be taken as a basis. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions to speakers, as well as take part in the implementation of various tasks.
Up to 100 people can take part in the webinar simultaneously, including speakers and university teachers. To enroll in the webinar, announcements will be posted in the news line on  on-line learning platforms (Google classroom and Moodle). Also, everyone should send an application for participation in the google form, which will also be provided to students

The 1st qualifying round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Foreign Languages ​​for students of 2-4 courses is over. 268 students took part in the tour. The Department of Foreign Languages ​​starts recruiting for intensive study of foreign languages ​​(English, German, French)! Courses are conducted using Headway and New English Filе textbooks published by Cambridge University Press. Video and audio materials are also used. Classes will be conducted according to a program that differs from the curriculum presented in the classroom at the university. The advantages of the courses lie primarily in the fact that you will learn a foreign language in accordance with your level, that is, you will learn from the material you understand.
Before enrolling in a course, each student must determine their language level (Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate). To do this, you are tested at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​(room 331).

During the quarantine period, the courses will be held of online, 2 times a week on a schedule convenient for you.

The Department of Foreign Languages ​​expresses deep condolences to everyone who lost their relatives and friends in the An-26 plane crash in Chuguev. On September 25, a terrible tragedy occurred during a training flight. The An-26 aircraft crashed while landing. 25 people died – cadets of the Kharkiv University of the Air Force named after Kozhedub and crew members.

We wish the only surviving cadet a speedy recovery.

The first qualifying round for the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in English.

The Department of Foreign Languages ​​from 7.09 to 25.09 announces the first round of selection of students for the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Foreign Languages. Students of the II  III and IV courses can become participants. The selection dates for the first course– 2.10 – 20.10.  Materials for the first qualifying round are provided by the group teachers.

Teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​during the quarantine period associated with the COVID 19 virus, on behalf of the Head of the Department M. Suknov  selected and tested new technologies for studying foreign languages ​​in the format of distance learning.
Students were taught through interactive teaching materials that contain instructions, educational content (video, interactive video, text, audio), self-testing, links, etc. in accordance with  lessons curriculum. The curriculum requirements of the course were respected. Teachers had the opportunity to test students’ knowledge, created chat rooms for communication, so that, faced with difficulties, they could continue to complete tasks.
During quarantine, we selected the most suitable digital services that helped in the development of training materials.

English Language Olympiad

The qualifying round of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian  English Language Olympiad among the students non-linguistic Universities took place on March 25, 2020. The run-off was conducted remotely by V. Stus Donetsk National University (by the Faculty of Foreign Languages)  using the MOODLE platform. Among the participants  were the representatives of KNURE – Roginsky S.V (gr. ESTM-18-1), Beskokotov MD (gr.PZPI-19-6), Bondarenko DK (gr.ITSHI-18-1). The participants from KNURE successfully passed the qualifying round, gaining 54, 53.5 and 50 points respectively, and were invited to participate in the final part of the second stage of the above-mentioned Olympiad. The final part is postponed to October 2020 in connection with the quarantine COVID 19.

On November 20, 2019  Student Scientific Conference “Wissenschaft von heute und morgen” was held on the basis of the Deutsches Ausbildungszentrum NTU “ChPI” Educational Center and the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the National Technical University “KPI”. Students of our university who study German Language took part in the Conference: Nosik Kateryna (gr. IТКN-17-2), Shepeta Alexander (gr. KIUKI-18-3), Komina Alexandra (gr. PZPI-19-3) and Sokolova Victoria (gr. KIUKI-18-5).
